I was really bored when I decided to write this post.

hmmm

i was playing suicidal difficulty just to try it.

i had 4 planets and was hemmed in by the torians.

i was playing it quiet

i lost one planet to infuence

then the jagged knife event struck and i lost another planets (close to a torian world)

i launched troop transports to get it back

and got this message from the torians

"so you are amassing transports before attacking

a obvious and cowardly tactic.

we declare war"

and they annhilalated me

I once had the Yor give me a transport that was sitting near their homeworld . . . then the next turn I got message about amassing transports near their territory and they declared war on me.
