Requesting a Simple Mod!

Would anyone be willing or have the knowledge to create a mod that sets resources from roids to finite? I am willing to pay $30 for this! A few of my friends really enjoyed finite resources as sins played in a more mature manner, and given that one cannot find many multiplayer games as is, we thought that we might hook up again online under the proposed new (actually original) gameplay 'feature'.

Cheers!

As happy as I'd be to do that for free, it doesn't look like that's possible. I glanced through the relevant files (gameplay.constants, the asteroid mines entities and the racial structure entities) and none of them seem to have a setting to go from infinite to finite.

so exactly what do you want I could make it to were you would never run out of crystal metal and money

I guess I should say I didn't quite get the word Finite

anyway you can e-mail me at magnus_2008@rock.com

and by the way I will do it for free

He wants resource asteroids changed so that they run out of resources. For some time in the beta, all resources eventually ran out and you had to rely on refineries for your metal and crystal, but that was difficult for progression and they were changed to be infinite.

So Fandango wants the old old system back, but it's not doable anymore.

well how about setting the resouces gatherinmg to X10 or more.... i set that in our multiplayer here for more action and it worked like miracle

Fandangdo, are you referring to "starting credits" only?, where you start with a million credits, and asteroids don't pony up with the materials (and planets have 0 credits output)???

Just a few things to do it... (send only Karma) :)

---Set the starting credits in the Player.entity files to a million...

---go through all the planet entities and make the number of resource asteroids equal zero...

---also in the planet entities, make the credit output zero (it's printed several times as taxes, and for the population multiplier, once for each level)...

---Lastly, the HomeWorld tax bonus will need to be taken care of...

(Tkins, who are you yelling at???  it's not necessary)

in the original post:

to create a mod that sets resources from roids to finite?
End of quote

this can be interpreted to mean: " to create a mod that sets resources from roids to finite..."

as well as the way I read it as: "to create a mod that sets resources from roids to finite..."

which can mean that instead of getting resources from roids, they are finite :)

Yelling? No, I just copied and pasted. I didn't even notice the font was in bold.

My post was for those people who didn't get what finite meant. I wasn't sure if they were English second language, didn't read carefully or just didn't know what finite meant.

EDIT*

Also, typically yelling is conveyed through Caps, bolding is used to emphasize. No harm was intended.

I LOVE YOU!! (now i'm yellin! heheheh)
