What Next?

So I was sitting here and thinking, that stardock released SOASE Entrenchment which is all about LARGE scale DEFENCE. So now we have a boost in deffence making the game a whole lot harder and more interesting. But what new thing is next. I would expect it to be SOASE Assault or SOASE Invasion. The meaning of that is because we have defense and now they should concentrate on offence, maybe they should focus on new ships, ship upgrades, superweapons, a new class of ships like the for example TITAN class ships which dwarf their capital ship cousins. They could also include a new race like the thing that scared the Vasari. In my opinion these guys should be like the Zerg from starcraft or the Flood from HALO, if they do such a thing I would want the new race to look organic and fleshy. Also if they do go for TITAN class ships maybe they should make them very vulnerable to fighter and bomber squadrons (Death Star). If you have any comments reply.

Actually the second expansion will be non-millitary. (Diplomacy etc.) expansion three is supposed to add new ships and stuff.

Where did you get the info about expansion 3?

Where did you get the info about expansion 3?

that tidbit was included back when entrenchment was announced in august. and it is pretty much to only thing known about (mini)expansion 3: new technologies and items. not sure it said new ships per se, but I thinkt it is pretty much sure there will be. other than that, the only other information about the pack is that we will see a 'surprise' and that it will arrive before summer 09.

Ok, so then what would you expect to be in the third expansion pack or in the second as in the military expansion or diplomacy expansion. Also do you guys think there should be a new race or would that unbalance the game?

I think a new race would only make the game funner. ( Boy am I glad they don't have grammar checks!) I don't see how it would unbalace the game unless they were extremely powerful.
