Custom Map Preview?

Where can I see a layout of the custom maps?

I'm wondering where I can see a preview picture of the custom maps available in the game. I expected to see a preview of the layout in the field where you normally see a pic of the tiny, small, giant, etc galaxy. When I select a custom map from the dropdown menu, I don't get a preview of the layout. How am I supposed to decide on the map? Well obviously I don't want to start a game for every single custom map, so please let me know where I can view the layouts!

that isn't a feature built into the game AFAIK, but you can load games with the TA map editor (which in the TA folder, not on your start menu).
