Kiwi Greg - I had heard that players had difficulties 'leveling', as it's more a Morrowind type of game ie level by doing things. This led to situations where a craftsman would have to make a low level item, destroy it, make it again etc to improve skills. Also, was there a genuine "Starwars" flavour about the environment? Will there be Jedi strolling around?

StarWars Galaxy (SWG?) . . . I've read that its 'lack of apparent depth' is a temporary issue. Which is to say a number of expansions were pre-planned for it ($$$). If that's true . . . we'll just have to wait and see. Thanks for the nice review though (please keep us posted!).

Galahs have long life-spans too! My mum has a Cockatoo (same kinda thing?). Mum calles him a 'white devil', and it's for good reason! He's outlived half our family and nearly bit my finger off when I was five! Dangerous Little Rascal! (He's only 23 years old . . . they can live to be over 100!) . . . which means he'll probably out live me too! Bastard! LOL

Regarding further progress in soliciting mecenaries . . . I have it on good information that 'The Bananas in Pyjamas' are being realeased form Maximum Security next week ans are available. No the skill up system for artisans is not *quite* like that. In fact I think it is pretty easy - I am not even trying to be an artisan and mine is going up just from making and using various items I need.

You dont get exp from making stuff - only from other people using them.

I have been playing since SAturday (not power pplaying) and my highest skill (Expert Pistol) is 3/4 of the way up the general marksman tree (before you specialise) so I do not think progression is particulalry slow.

Meanwhile, back at the Anzac Fleet headquarters, a device left by Gerakkin on his last beer raid activates.

Well since New Zealand is the land of the LOTR anyway.

Usually I don't really encourage merging so that there is diversity in Meta but it is better than seeing fun role-playing folks drift away because the empire is dormant.

And of course it has that wonderful side effect of placing us nearer the top of the league.

lost my first 12 or so games even against 1 main computer player on fool mode.. lol .. guess i was the fool..

Since then I've won 5 games in a row (only last 2 posted due to problems submitting games)

Now lets get out there and show them just what the ANZAC's are well known for.. Digging in our heels and sholders to the grindstone.. never looking back.. and doing everyones dirty work... (well i guess someone has to do it)
