Map Creator question

I tried searching, but had to results .

So, i keep trying to make maps that have a decent layout, but everytime this dumb thing wants to put in 3 extra planets for each player?!??!?!??!???  Is there any way to work around this? I'm running straigh retail version, has this problem been fixed in one of the patches since?  If not, is this problem on the slate to be fixed?

It always does that, or else it would be possible to make a map with no colonizable planets. If you want complete customization, use the Galaxy Forge, which can be found on the Sins website.

Thanks, that makes me happy...

Now, it says it is updated for the latest patch, will i stil be able to use it with the retail 1.00?

You can get the .NET framework from Microsoft.com. The current version of Galaxy Forge in the downloads area works with with 1.05. Don't know about earlier versions, though.

From what i can tell, it does not work with the retail version, unless i've not completely finished the map and it won't read it until "finalized" or something.

But thank you for the info, i can not express how happy this makes me to be able to not text edit specifics into maps.
