The RaceLogos or the PlayerPortrait Files...

they are TGA files, convert them to a format you can edit, or edit them directly with a TGA based paint program, and then cut and paste away, but remember to keep them all lined up, as that's where the program knows to find them...

Oh, and if you do all this and end up with Sins reading it all as solid blocks, with NO transparent Color Zero, then that's the stage I'm at on the Infocard Icons, and the RaceLogos, and a few other graphics I'd already changed (I'm going to download a TGA-specific file converter to see if this fixes it)...

From my experience, GIMP seems to handle making .tga files just fine. Among other files, I've used it for the player portraits before.

Thanks, JSW I'll try GIMP

Bellgo, Yes, fill them in horizontally if you want them to all be one race, and there are player files in the Window folder that you have to change a couple numbers in (make a new file though)...

I need custom pics for research icons. I can do all the converting to .tga and everything the only question I have is, where are these files located and what exactly do you do to get them in game?
