HELP PLEASE! Race Color change!!

Hi All! I was wondering if ANYONE can help me! I have been playing for quite sometime and then it suddenly hit me! I can't see my race influence colors on the main map or mini-map. I found out that I was an idiot and made everything black, even my shop colors, which means= Against a black backdrop, i have NO clue what I am actually controlling!!

is there ANY way at all, to edit my race colors after the fact so i don't have to replay the game? Anyone with any advise at all? I'd really appreciate it!\

Oh, I am running the Dark Avatar expansion. Also, I saw a patch for it termed 1.8? is it player created or official?

To be honest I am a bit new to this, what do you mean metaverse game? online? No i am playing single player, maxed out galaxy, but running a very high end machine, so thus far have felt no issues in slow down.

I asked a similar question myself not long ago, and the sad answer was no :( I'm in a similar boat as you, playing a long gigantic map regretting the color choices I made.

Metaverse is a way for you to submit your high scores to the website, so all players can compare their high scores. To do this, you need to select the metaverse button at the beginning screen of the game. Metaverse games don't allow cheats or mods. A regular saved game can't be switched to a Metaverse game and vice-versa.

There is cheats for this game?! I think i understand what you are saying though.

Well I guess I am starting over *sigh*. Maybe i'll update to 1.8g first.

I too would also like to know whether colours of civilisations can be changed mid game. I chose the same colour as my immediate neighbour.....

kryo, is there a chance we can get randomized enemy colors in the next update for TA?
As in, the torians wont always have the exact same color scheme, etc?
Like a "randomize colors" button next to the "randomize intelligence" button or something? :)

The save games store *all* the xml for the current game, AFAIK. Prevents issues with patches and mods (hopefully), and yes, cheating as well.

I found that one of the best colours to choose is a subdued green / olive. No other race has anything similar and it is quite easy on the eyes.

However, a function to randomoise race colours on galaxy generation would be nice - that way, even with blind exploration off, there still would be an element of surprise.

This would require that the randomization take into account the player's chosen race color. Otherwise you could be up against a race just like yours. Very annoying.

I still get annoyed with the Krynn / Korath / Iconian / Korx 'shades of white'.
