The "new" Planet Quality in 1.03

First, I'm glad to see that PQ does not jack up an initial planet quality up 2pts. This does make for better game balance. Still, I have one question. What does the new PQ do? I found a planet rated 17 and colonized it and still the planet is a 17.

Just like to know what the new PQ does.

If you took the +5% instead of the +7% pick, a PQ 17 planet will not be affected intially since the bonus is rounded down.

17 x 1.05 = 17.85 rounds down to 17

Well, 5% increase on a class 17 is 17.85, rounded down is 17. Add a soil enhancer and you'll get class 19 (only class 18 without the extra 5%).

Thanks for the info. Some of my planets are working on Soil and now I see that I'll be getting a nice surprise.
