HOW TO INSTALL MODS

Can someone tell me how to install mods please. I download them but it says I need to look for a mods folder I dont have one and cannot find it. Also I would like to know where to put my mods thank you. :HOT:

I dont have that mod path. I have XP and I got the game via digital download.  I cnat download mods or the galaxy forge.  Can some one help?

Just to clarify, my game is stored in:

C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire

 

When I try the mod path, I have no "local settings" folder in documents and settings.
