Well, it is very misleading since GC2 price is currently 19.99$ at the Stardock store and not 44.99$ . It is even free when you compare the ultimate GC2 bundle pack (GC2 + DA + TA) with the price for DA et TA purchased separatly ;)

And if the serial id has been used, it will be a real steal ;)

It is still 39.99 at my local EB games.

Don't compare with what gogamer.com says the list price is. The fact is that it's $10, which is 50% off the Stardock store price. Gogamer.com only sells new/wrapped games. Implying that they'd send a used game is a baseless accusation.

I checked it out and they appear legit. No hint about selling used games. At $10.00 each, they'd make nice gifts. Even with the $3.00 shipping, it comes out pretty cheap.

I'll pick up a couple/few at that price anyway. Thanks for the nice find, Hollow Man.  :)

They're legit. I buy from them all the time because they have good sales like this. First found about them years ago from Shacknews.com.

As a matter of fact, I bought the GalCiv/AP bundle from them quite a ways back. My first Stardock purchase! I know Stardock made nothing off me with that buy, but that introduction helped made me a Stardock fanboy. So don't be hatin' on the Gogamer: Peace Phoenix!

Sorry, I didn't want to imply that they were selling used games. I just couldn't resist to make a line about "steal". Looks like the poor french that I am have still some progress to make in english ;) BTW, if it has been manufactured by Paradox (the european distributor), it could be possible that a new game has an already used serial id as some reports have been made on copies found in Europe

Only 4 hours and change to get this price, so I bought three more copies. I hope the recipients show up in the MV. Either way though, a nice gift on the cheap. ;)

WOW you'd have to be drunk not to buy at that price..... Damn. wait a sec...

It should be a USA copy. If Gogamer is selling an overseas copy, then it has an "(I)" after the title to denote it as an import (which the GalCiv2 does not).

Listed as "Out of Stock" as of now. That was fast. :)

Damn, it did sell fast. I was going to buy another copy and have my self 3 more Tyranny of Evill members.....

You bought 3 more copies Motti? I'll have one.

I got a confusing email from them this morning. They said everything went backorder and should ship in 30 days. The backorder quantitiy was zero, though. I guess I'll just see what happens.

One is for a neighbor and another for a nephew. I got the third just because. It might be freed up to send, but I'll have to wait to see if the order actually gets filled. (Actually, I'd just email the serial number to you and destroy the package on my end. You should already have everything else you'd need.) :)

They must've had fewer than demand. That was a beyond cheap price for something people would want. Stardock's getting popular these days, so it's not surprising that it sold out.

Awesome Motti. Perhaps we can hash out any other details in the ToE forums. ;)

If you look at the link again, it now says $39.90. I'd say they had a misspell on the site, which might explain why your said zero Motti. I know here in Aust, they would be forced to sell the game at the 9.90 price to whoever ordered it. Hope it's the same over there.

If I click on the link above, it claims the $9.90 price is still in effect, but they are out of stock as of now.

I'd like to think it's a little of both. ;)

Actually, I saw the $39.90 price tag too. They changed it back to $9.90, but being out of stock, it doesn't matter anyway. The order won't take. There's a "wish list" button, but I don't know if it'll reserve a copy or what.

Not to worry though. My order went through and one of those will be yours.

Well, here's a fine how do you do.

Yesterday, gogamer replied to a query of mine and said they got the games in and would be shipping them by today. I was really looking forward to giving them out as gifts.

I just got several emails from gogamer within seconds of each other. They said that they received my change order requests and would process them within 48 hours. Within seconds, more emails saying that my orders have been cancelled per my request.

I responded to each email saying that I didn't change my order and still wanted the games shipped. Then came more emails from them saying that credits have been processed for my order.

Paypal's email says I received a refund from gogamer.

I tried calling the contact number, but it just rang and rang.

I'm mildly dissappointed. I give gogamer's transaction three frowny faces.  :(  :(  :(

Luckily, Stardock still sells these games, albeit at a slightly higher price. Two smiley faces on that one.  :)  :)

I guess it's time to see how I can get the CDs delivered. Probably not rocket science, huh?

How utterly bizarre. I've never had problems with them. Of course I've never contacted them either, thus never giving them the opportunity to stupidly think that by sending an email it means, "Cancel my order."

I found these two phone numbers:

877-599-7378
949-609-1677

Thanks for the numbers, HM.  :)

I called the 888 number in the email again and got through. They said that they only cancelled one because they got two in and I ordered three. (Not sure why they sent so many emails though). They said they wouldn't be getting any more in the future, so they refunded just the one.

I didn't check the Paypal refund amount, so I'll assume that's a true story. They said they's ship the other two right away.

I'm cautiously optomistic at this point. Changing my three frowny faces to one frowny face and two smileys.  :(  :)  :)

That still comes out to one smiley, so everything is hunky-dory.  :)

That's pretty typical behavior when online stores are dealing with mistaken prices. Very, *very* rarely do any of them honor such deals.

LOL, you guys must not know how gogamer works.

I bought 3 half life 1 wons when they were on sale for $14.99. When they ran out, they raised the price to $30 -_-

They did this with HL1 Anthology. They occaisionally sell it for $3, then they raise it to $20.

It's just another random Gogamer sale. If they don't have enough, you get refunded.
The thing about gogamer is they have sales without telling anyone sometimes. You find their sales in forums.

Then when they sale out, when they get more in stock they raise the price.

Case in point:

HL1 Anthology $1.90

And the price after the sale, the price now:

HL1 Anthology $49.90

If anyone notices, their currently selling Infernal and Prey for $5.90 each.

Wait until the sale ends and I promise you they'll both be around $30.

Well kryo, this definitely wasn't a mistaken price (this was an advertised MADNESS sale), but they probably screwed up and got more orders than they expected. Sucks, and I don't think it was cool of them to turn down some orders, but if MottiKhan gets two, that's better than zero!
