Any chance we will see the Intel fix by election day?

I bought this when it came out, and haven't been able to play it. I, like many others, have an Intel graphics card. Can't see the game text at all.

The game's just been sitting on my desk, taunting me.

I am having the exact same problem with all of the same causes. I was pretty excited about playing this game, but now it is jsut sitting around. I really hope someone finds a way to fix the problem with the Intel Graphics card so we can play this game.

Things are moving slowly with Intel. I don't know how much they've done already or how much they are willing to do for us beyond running Political Machine on various chipsets.

If they come back and tell us that it's because their drivers don't support the fonts and that they aren't going to upgrade their two year old drivers, it's not going to help any of you.

If you want to, you can go to Link and find an ATI or NVivdia graphic card between $30 and $50 that will run Political Machine that you will probably be able to install in your machine without having to uninstall your current card (If you're not familiar with upgrading your hardware you may want to contact your computer's manufacturer to make sure that you'll have room for it). For NVidia you're going to want a Geforce 2 or better, for ATI, a Radeon 7500 or higher. I recommend getting a card with at least 32 MB of video memory. For example, today at pricewatch.com, I found a NVidia Geforce 5200 FX for $41 and an ATI Radeon 9000 for $39. Those are both pretty good cards.

I'm having the same problem with the text. I am not going to go out and spend money upgrading my computer so I can play something I'm supposed to be able to play with what I currently have. This looks like a great game, but I have no choice but to return it if there isn't a fix. Please fix this problem soon, or I will have to return it. I already own President Forever 2004 and I love playing that game, but I would like to try this one.

BroadwayBoy87, if you have a Intel 82815 or Intel 82810E integrated video card, there's nothing that we can do as their drivers do not support DirectX 9.0 and Intel has informed us that they will not be updating their drivers.

If you have another kind of video card, please check the manufacturer's website for updated drivers.
