Help, please?

Need help.

I feel pretty dumb asking this, as I'm sure I've missed something, but I need some help.
I've extracted plenty of mods into the proper path (Even getting the path from the game, writing that down, and making sure it's right) but when I start the game, there's nothing under available mods. I've been using 1.03 and the mods, too, are for 1.03. Can anyone help?

u are putting them in the "user">documents>Ironclad>Sins>Mods>"Name of mod" inside the mod folder you have the gameinfo, mesh, window, and cant remeber the fourth folder dang it, hate doing this from work.

My mods are in C:\Documents and Settings\Owner (Yes, that's the name)\Local\Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods

The last folder(s?) are String and I also throw in Texture.

Very weird, because even if you put a blank folder in the Mod's directory, it should appear as a mod. You didn't create the mods directory did you? And which OS are you using, that would help. (XP is my area, Vista is not)

Also:
\Local\Settings\
End of quote

should be \Local Settings\

I'm using XP. And thanks! I'll try that now, it should work.

I am using vista so my files are a lil diff, so you must be using xp because for me it is documents\appdata\local\ironcladgames\sinsofasoalrempire\mods\overthrowslaw you are putting the mod into its own folder? i know thats prolly a dumb question on my behalf but thats the only thing i can think of. Obviously you did because like uzii said it should show any folder you have in the mods folder. Man I am tired today, am I making any sense?

I'm not sure what you mean, Overthrow, but what Uzii told me worked. Thanks for your help, everyone! And sorry for the oversight on my part.

Try Local Settings\Application Data\...etc..., I've found it makes both but the Local Settings is the one you need to use.

Also, make sure you have 1.03.

Just remember people. For XP is \Local Settings\Application Data\ All this time, and this is still the biggest problem people have.

to be honest if i search the Mod filder manually.. its not there becuase im missing local settings

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire

now where did that local setting directory go?? its not there.... so no mod folder.. tough i can see al the SoaSE maps :/even tried making a mod folder...(with adama mod in it) tough it doesnt find it (my guess = cuase local settings = missing :/)

now how i found it manually

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods

there.. it did work now
mod folder = there all becuase local settings never apeared on the road....
im kinda confused bout why u cant find it the "normal" way

running XP instead of vista sow maye thats the problem for the mod folder not being found

(sry adamA i found out what was wrong... dont get mad @ me again :P)

It's a hidden folder, you have to check "show hidden files and folders" in Folder Options.
