Things for the next patches to build in Sins

Hello sins community,

i want to make a littel wishlist / needed feature list with your help.


But before we start, sins of a solar empire is at its actual revision a good stable game who makes fun to play.

why this post? I doesn't find an actual one like this now.

- need a feature for change the sell rate (for example: 100, 250 and 500 ) in pirate bounty and black market. Only 100/250 is in further games to low

Hold down shift when selling/giving resources/placing bounty to do it with higher quantities.

a standalone server modus only for hosting games. On this server guest may check in matches and look like the replays but instant in combat of this game.


This can't be done because Sins is a P2P game, the host is not a server - just whose PC synchronizes all the data.

Also, please add some line breaks between your various suggestions to make them easier to read :P

- a way to download und install maps from open games in IOC, if my sins installtion not have this map. Map creaters become more easily test gamers, players doesn't download and copy ther files to the game folder. Someone doesn't check up if the right version are installed by all players to start.

As Long as this is a Wish list I wish that the Game Options at game set up had a random feature in each of the switches. It would add a lot to the fun factor if you did not know going in if it was going to be a slow economy or fast research, or abundant / Scant resources, etc...

Anyway that's my wish. Hope the powers that be make it happen.  :LOL: pleasssssse

I would like a new PipelineEffect which can be applied to a particle mesh that can feed dynamic co-ordinates/trajectories for the purposes of tracking or pointing at a chosen target.

In short the ability to add turrets  :CONGRAT: 

It must be possible within the game engine already otherwise how would the weapon effects know how to render between a ships weapon emitter and the target?

It would be great to expand a game upon completion. Several times I've finished a single player game and wanted to keep playing. It would be great to just hit a button to add additional star systems with AI players to keep up the good fit.

Perhaps the "expand a game" option includes adding a new research item of the form "cluster jump capability" where you can jump from a star cluster gravity well to another as opposed to star to star.

The ability to turn our cursor into God's hand and smack planets and stars around when you are sure to win the game.

Kind of like a finishing move.

The features I'm looking for is a better way to manage super weapons, and some of the odd stuff not covered, or managed well by the user interface.

Super weapons:
If you have a bunch of them, it would be helpful to know where each one was, and where they were pointing. To be able to do the following would make them easier to use: set them to autocast or cancel it, to pick targets so the game will start turning the one of them to fire, set targets to ignore, etc.

Resurrection:
This Advent ability allows the player to transfer xp from a destroyed capital ship, to a new capital ship. A level 1 capital can be improved to a level 10 capital by using the resurrection ability. However, the order in which the capitals were destroyed in is significant. Having a level 3, 5, and 7 capital destroyed in that order will result in the resurrection order being 7, 5, and 3.

The problem is, this information isn't displayed anywhere, so if you haven't been paying attention, or have merely forgotten, you can't make a good plan around the idea of resurrecting your ships. As such, I would like to be look that information up, and possibility change the resurrection order.

Phase Stabilizers and Returning Armada:
The Visari phase stabilizers can get the ability to call additional ships, giving you additional ships with no cost to you. The downside is, it can be difficult to know where every one is, be able to build capital ships without turning them all off, and turn them on again without having to shift every planet. A user interface that would allow you to turn all of them off/on, and even set a rally point for them would help to build the ships you want, and to avoid having your bonus ships being scattered all over the place. Inaddition, being able to set a call limit, so you could reserve a set amount of fleet supply for capital ship building would be helpful too.

A clock in game, that displays the current real world time.

Games like this are very easy to play without realizing how long you're playing, so a clock is a must have to avoid missing work. :)

- The auto-fleet-join doesn't work properly at the moment in 1.03, many times I have ships that are in the same system as my fleet and refuse to join the fleet no matter what I do.

I'd really like to have the ability to manage my fleets from the empire tree via drag-n-drop, ie select a group of ships and drag them onto one of my fleet emblems to make them join that fleet.

oh i a small thing:



When ships become an order to leave the actual planet system, long range frigs ignore them, because they use/or in use of there specials, a workaround is to put them into Fleets.



But i hope when an order is given this order has the highest prio for them.



It saves frigs loss by strong enemy forces

More diplomacy as always.

Buffs to orbital processing facilities.

Superweapon button in the planet menu.

On huge random maps, it would be fun to have each star populated by 1 or 2 factions rather then 5 factions in one star and 5 in another and 3 open stars.

In game real time clock and alarm. So often I lose sleep because I've lost track of time!

More setup options like starting funds/ships/etc.

Make the migrator not act like a combat ship (ie causing a radial point to display around the planet... always makes me think the planet is defended when its not).

More planet types like that mod thats out there. I just dont trust mods 100%.

Friends button while hosting a game. I can never remember the command to whisper to my friends, and while hosting a game, I have no way to contact them short of the public lobby. Perhaps an invite button would be useful as well.

More ship movement dynamics during combat.

Customize ship designs like in GalCiv2 (sorry, I got spoiled with that system :))

Ability to donate ships to an ally. Many times I have a surplus of ships in my allies area, but the enemy attacking him is an ally of mine so I cant help. It would be nice to donate those ships to his cause (for a price of course).

I do kinda wish that factions would stop requesting I destroy my allies units/structures/etc. To that end, it would be nice to see who is allied with who and who is at war with who, etc.

Espionage! Need I say more?

How about completely destroying planets? Or, maybe just uninhabitable by siphoning all the air out of the atmosphere (I would really like that one) the idea of simply making a planet a complete waste is pretty viable late game when it doesn't matter to add one more to your empire.

Or better yet, slave ships...just round up all the women and children and send them to the nearest orbital refinery for the rest of their days. hehehe, maybe just smelt them down into ammunition. Nothing comes quite as close to launching an empire's citizens out of missile tubes at the nearest frigate-think of the phsycological damage!

that kind of sums up a wish list.

Hehe, I think you want spore when it comes out in september. That game is going to kill off alot of games for me lol. Probably not this one because it has MP and spore doesnt, but we'll see.
