Disable? Can you elaborate please. So you can't see them? Or stop ships from using them? Or both? See distant planets? By view? or by exploration? We need more info.

Ok sorry may have not explained well enough.

Ok say your making a basic map in galaxyforge. You make the planets very close together and dont use the connection phase lines (the lines that connect planets together for hyper jump), now without using these lines and preview your map you cant see any distant planets. I presume its because there not connected.

So my question is, is there a way to enable you to see the distant planets when not being connected by the phase lines?

No. Not without the Final Mod tools anyway. And if you are attempting to remove phase lanes from the game, save yourself the bother, it can't be done at the moment.

Dam! Ok thanks for the heads up anyways.
I can remove the phase lines but cant find any planets :NOTSURE:

Do you know when the tools are expected?

u cant use any other way to move between planets.. obviously u can just neglect to add them but i think Uzii was saying that there's no alternative

You might be able to! What i have done is adjust the outer gravity line so that you can go anywhere within the map. Now what im trying to do is be able to see the distant planets when not adding phase line within galaxyforge. This will enable you to go to that planet without the use of hyperjump. Alternativly if this doesnt work without the phase lines i could disbale the hyper alltogether so its as if they were moving normaly to that planet.

A hopefully idea, but I think the planets are in their own Gravity Well, so your ships will still be 'in' the first planet's Well when they reach the next planet. This will screw up Colonisation, Combat, and everything else. Good luck, but I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Thanks. Tested it and it works well. There doesnt appear to have any screw ups (atm) but ive got another idea regarding the hyperjump ring.

Wait, so you can colonise and attack ships in another Gravity Well just by moving to them? Wow :SURPRISED:

Well technicaly all the gravity wells are interlinking. So it means you can travel very very far out of the normal gravity well and colonise as normal plus build orbital stuff as normal (havent edited any of that). The plus side is that you can wage wars far away from planet's. Thats why i want to get rid of the phase lines so i can make a smallish map and build a fleet then just point and click a planet to just move there without hyperjumping.

As you mentioned above thats what im trying to achieve. Being able to just move to another planet without the need for lanes.

I can remove the lanes but it also hides the planets too. Thats what i was wondering if anyone has an idea on how to make planets visable.

Maybe you could just do a map hack kinda deal that reveals all the planets and everythin when the game starts. If they are all in one solar system it would makes sense that an advanced race has some idea where the other planets in their solar system are. Heck if we could see them from planet Earth all the way out in space with a piece of glass at night they should know exactly where their planets are by the time they can travel between them (As we do) So maybe you could try to create an in game cheat that just makes all planets visible? Look into the test mode with the map creator, because it starts the game with all planets visisble!

Yeah was going to ask for something like that.

Whats this test mode anyways? And the map creator, are you on about galaxyforge?

The in-game one, it has a preview mode, and sometimes you start as a race ion the map with everything revealed.

You could add a template containing one scout of every player to every gravity well.
A lot of work when making a map, but think that way you don't need phaselanes
