No Windowed Mode

This makes me sad :(

Okay, new computer, not the best but prolly the best that my mum could afford at the moment.

okay tha problem...Vista...

I got the best NVidia driver update that I could find, but it is a 7000m card aka teh sux...
Well, problem is that though I can run GC2 and DA on the computer I am no longer able to play either in Windowed mode.

My question is, why is it that I cannot run GC2 or DA in windowed mode?

Could the answer be that I have Aero turned on still? I think the answer is yes to that, i will find out later.

If you turn on windowed mode but leave the resolution set to the same as your desktop, it'll look just like full screen but behave as a window (with no titlebar or border). I'm guessing that's what you're experiencing since you're not reporting any crashes or such. :)

I set the resolution for while in windowed mode to 1024 x whatever it is, can't remember. It will play until it is building the environment and then freeze. I am certain that it is a problem with Aero Glass, as it draws all windows into an offscreen buffer so that it can add effects. If I turn it off and keep running applications to a minimum it shouldn't have a problem. Or if i just play it in full screen mode at all times I wont have a problem.

If it was easier to switch between Aero and Normal windows appearance then it wouldn't be a problem. I like the effects of Aero though, so I will try to find an alternative way to fix my problem >.>

Well, I could've sworn sure that Aero is supposed to disable itself for Direct3D programs. Go ahead and post your debug from an attempted windowed mode run.
