Long Live STARDOCK/FROGBOY and IC/the FRASER BROS. !!

a.k.a. "Is Sins the next Homeworld3?"

A thought by PoorManDSO ...

After reading the forums the last 2 months, something has occured to me ... there are alot of posts about "My issues with Sins" and very few posts about "Thank you developers!!"  Well, here's my "say so" ...

"THANK YOU IC/STARDOCK!"

I feel as though I should not need to Xplain all that makes me thank them.  Just the fact that Iron Clad's 9 member team (w/ the aid of Stardock) was able to "pull off" the most epic scale of space games this era is amazing.

It would be nice to see IC work with Stardock on future projects also - the support @ Stardock is awsome (it's always nice to sign onto an IRC channel and get an answer to a question from the company's employees that have a clue about your issue.)

To Iron Clad: Keep those epic games comming! I am sure someday one of your games will be compared to another 'new' game.

I will never forget the way Craig's voice sounded (the disapointment of "living up to"/"being compaired to") on the interview w/ Talkshoe (03/09/2008) http://www.talkshoe.com/talkshoe/web/talkCast.jsp?masterId=33899 when, at the end of the interview, they asked the question:

Q: "What is the one question you hope to never be asked again?"

A: "Is Sins the next Homeworld3?"

Here's to you (Fraser Bros.) - may the Question never be asked again ... for the next Space game 'they' will be asking: "Is this the next Sins of a Solar Empire?"

:CONGRAT:

P.S. "Long Live the IC/Stardock union"

Posting in full support of the OP - but fix the title so it's not in all caps ;)

theres been lots of praise threads to them really. :P

And I Think Sins is compared to other strategy games, and that's why it has gotten on average a 9/10.

And I believe it's "Fraser".

But yes, there have been tons of posts saying how great the game is. They just tend to get knocked down by the few people who complain. Bad stuff always gets more attention than good - just the nature of things.

Because pretty much everyone who's happy is too busy playing to post ;)

The First Rule of support is, when you hear nothing... things are going good.

The Second Rule is... no poofters.

The Third Rule is... the is no third rule.

(Rinse and repeat as needed).

There are so many devious ways to achieve the condition of the first rule

I have to admit that I totally agree with the thread starter. ;)

The gaming industry as a whole could learn a lot from IC/Stardock... I wish to see mean kick ass games such as Sins in the coming years. Sins is just what the PC gaming doctor ordered to show all the other cookie cutting penny pinchers how its done..
Keep up the amazing work IC/SD & Thank You for this amazing piece of art..

Wonderful game, great work. Aside from the fact it's a really fun game, I just won my first gigantic game against the AI running the game continuously for more hours than I care to admit. Not a glitch, ran like a top the whole time. Gotta love that!

I think I'm gonna cry...

Ok maybe not, thanks devs for making a truly wonderful game and for being such wonderful people to be around!!

Has anyone else noticed that the badges the devs get on the forums have gradually improved with the games success.

I smell conspiracy.

Only against you, TGE :P

It's to the point where I only post for two reasons: to help out the newbs and to add my praise to posts like these. These forums are way too flamy and whiny for my taste!

Like I've said before, great game guys. Keep up the good work. Extra kudos to Frogboy for wearing his flame-retardant suit and troll-spray... he keeps going back in day after day :)

Long live SD and IC!!!
