Discussion about the new game speed choices

How do they fit together

I have played a couple of games with the new 1.03 patch.  I had been playing with the fast game setting with no change to research speed, etc.

Now I am playing will all settings on Fast.  I notice that I seem to have loads more cash than I used to.  Apparently, setting all of the speed settings to fast is not equivalent to the 'fast game' setting from before.

Does anyone have any information or opinions about what combinations of Slow / Normal / Fast will make a good game?

By the way --- KUDOS to the developers.  You can't make everyone happy.  Don't try.  In the end, no one will be happy if you do.... least of all you.

Please, which file ?
Could I change that values myself with a text editor ?

Are there MINUS values possible ... as SLOW is already 0.0 but I want it slower :-)

It's in gameplay.constants (in the GameInfo folder), and yes it is in text format so you can edit it in notepad.

I'm not sure if negative values are possible, by the way it's set there I don't think so, but you can try and if it doesn't crash it's probably okay :P

Okay it is working, now when I set everything to slow it is around
5 times SLOWER than the original SLOW setting ...
