Argghhh, BUGS Galore!

Please help. In a previous post, I mentioned that I could not access some of my Advertisement icons. Having read more Forums, I see I should be able to move the VP too. But I can NOT activate him... have tried clicking all over him to no avail. And my wife and I have both noticed that we can spend Stamina to launch a New Ad, but NO icon will appear in the state! We see the Lose in Stamina, but no mention of the ad. We usually DO get the newspaper article showing that We Have Attacked the Opponent on an issue. But no icon. Nor do we see it on the Assets drop-down menu. This has happened several times! And yet, it only happens on occassion. The graphics "seem" fine. What a shame; as it sortta invalidates all the work we do in strategy and tactics to have these errors occur. For the record, I have a SAVE where I can go back and start the turn in IDAHO. If I try to do any AD, after I hit CREATE, there is a Headline on how I ATTACK RICE ON HER POSITION (even tho I put that I FAVOR, not that she opposes! so that doesn't seem right either...) Then I am back to the map with No sign of an Ad in Idaho. But it sure has taken my Money for the ad! I CAN build an HQ and it'll show up. This is very frustrating. Any suggestions or ideas greatly appreciated. Just don't know how these kinds of bugs can be related to video card, or outdated drivers. Could it be a corruption in SAVE files?

Finally, without piling on too much, I want to add that Condi RICE has spent ALL of the weeks 30 thru 40 buy ADs in Colorado. I mean NEW Ads every week! Now I am playing at Beginning level, but still, could that be correct? It's like she Flys back and forth between Colorado and Alaska every turn! Those 2 states are FULL of icons. It's a joke. Should I re-install? Do hate to lose the big opening victory.....

I am now in my second game. Starting on about the 10th turn, I noticed things go awry again in a manner similiar to the first game. When I fund raise, no matter what state I am in, The box of money animation appears in Oklahoma! Likewise, when I give a speech, that animation only appears in OK as well! I am now on T37 and can only access about 1/2 of my ad icons, some of which don't even come up when I place an ad. I am trying to take a TV ad in Illinois and the game won't let me... It takes my money and stamina points, but there is No icon placed, AND if I go into the ASSETS drop-down, I don't see that ad at all. This makes it useless for me to play the game... What's the point if i am getting screwed by a system that won't recognize the moves I am making. Please, if there is anyone who reads this who has had similiar experiences, I would like to know. Or what to do to try to fix. The game "seems" to play just fine. The graphics are all there; but it's as though lottsa items get corrupted during play. Heck I still don't know if you can move the VP or not. Can someone answer that? I click and click on John Edwards in NC and he just stands there; can't get the rotating arrow and can't get him to show in the lower right box. HELP........

Does this happen even with the 1.02 update that went up last week? If so, please send me your dxdiag report and any save games that you have that will reproduce your problems.
