I can't seem to find the place where to change the damage from the cannons? Anybody know?

Which cannons are you referring to? Ship cannons? Fighter/bomber cannons? Point defense cannons? The large planetary bombarment cannons you can build?

Until you're more specific I can't help you.

The planetary bombardment cannons of course. Nothing else is called cannon in the mod files.

as i recall if you follow the entity file through it leads you to an ability file, and then two buff files, and one of said buff files does the damage. If you specify which race i shall find the proper filename for you.

Well you didn't exacly specify you meant cannon as in the file name "cannon" since you could have just as eaily been asking where to modify the side rail gun cannons for a TEC battleship or the main cannons on a carrier cap ship.

I'm curious what you're plan is to change the damage code to, do you plan to make them weaker so the blast won;t annihialate a conoly in one or 2 shots? or make them powerful enough to wipe out a maxed out planet in a single blast?

Thanks Terraziel, lets use phase. PM_PhaseOrbitalCannon shows AbilityPhaseOrbitalCannon. And that file gives me BuffPhaseOrbitalCannon. is there 2 buff files? Then I'm missing one. Please help.

@Silveressa, don't want to change anything actually, but would like to get the stats. I've set up all the mod details in excel making it much more user-friendly to compare stats. And it's too hard to figure out if something is balanced after changing damage, etc. So far I've only fixed the market and diplomacy and currently busy with the pirates.

Ok, it goes

PLANETMODULE_PHASEORBITALCANNON
to
AbilityPhaseOrbitalCannon
to
BuffPhaseOrbitalCannon
to
CannonShellPhase
to
BuffCannonShellPhaseSpawn
to
BuffCannonShellPhaseOnShips
AND
BuffCannonShellPhaseOnStructures

The last two are the ones which control damage, and yes i admit it is more complicated than i remember

the TEC's is a tiny simpler

Most likely because the TEC doesn't have a model as the projectile.
