Mod idea

I got this idea from warcraft 3 frozen thrown i think it would be fun if someone made a game like DOTA which is that you get a capital ship as you main guy and ships are spawned are regular intervails from a ai building. these ships would have a predesiend path into the enemy territory where the other side has the same effect. The capital ships would have there unique abilitys. And you would get money via killing units. The money could then be used to buy upgrades for you cap ship or be used to upgrade what type of unit would be spawned. i know this would be a hard mod to do but it would be a realy fun multiplayer game

yes, I think this is a good idea, but i have no idea if it is feasable or not. Being as that I don't know much, I wouldn't be able to judge it in any way but the fact that it has a high possibility of being a good game. (i have played WC3 and other versions of this type of game, and i liked them a lot)You might also want to incorporate a grid system of waypoints for ships to go through to get to a capital ship area, and describe more of the details of the system in the game.

Personally, I don't think this is a good idea at all. I think it would take away some of the strategy to Sins because who is going to care about units that get replaced automatically? It's a great idea for trade, refinery, and construction ships but is a terrible idea for war ships.

It's certainly possible to do the income via destroying other ships as this is how the pirates system works and if the player plays as the pirates, the problem being the point where this game is so expansive that if you were to lose enough ships then it simply isn't possible to get back into the game unlike WC3.
