Hey, Brad. Can you mail me a printed copy? My notebook burns my thighs when I'm sitting on the toilet reading.

Thanks,

Are you soliciting comments in this thread, Brad, or shall we save those until you explicitly ask?

I checked it out, and I don’t want to not acknowledge your hard work, but frankly I was really disappointed. I was expecting new information, not just reorganizing of information already available in on the site combined into .doc format document.

You advertised this:
Things we're going to include is vastly more information on how morale, influence, diplomacy, and economics work along with some of the background details in helping understand the computer players.

The “new” manual did include more information than the one I got when I bought the game at the store, but didn’t have anything I didn’t already read weeks ago in the sites encyclopedia.

Please re-read what I wrote in the original post here:

"WorkING" on it. It's still a work in progress. The first step is to consolidate all the stuff together. It's definitely not going to be something we'll be able to whip out overnight.

I understand Rome wasn't built in a day. In fact I was really suprised when the original annoucement made some sort of reference that you hoped to be done by the end of the weekend or something like that.

You guys have done phenomenal job customer support-wise and I guess that can act as a double-edged sword, increasing our expectations to unattainable levels.

I was at least hoping for a manual errata, answering some of the questions that people have been asking on the forums such as "is there really a life-force resource?"

I know all the updating you do to make GC even better, can't help when trying to write a defenitive manual, and have every confindence that when it is finally done it will be great.

I also know that you realize that so many of us are starving for this information, and that each day we have to what seems like an eternity.

take care. There was a report on http://www.theregister.co.uk about a guy who worked with his laptop on his thighs and suffered some eye-watering burns that I prefer not to describe or even think about! Cringe!
