Those cheating AI candidates...

Holy moly. I'm up to Reagan in the Dem campaign. The AI cheating has finally gotten absurd! The man is pumping out 3-5 ads PER TURN in several different states! How am I supposed to keep up with that? He has the entire country turned against my poor John Edwards before I can even snatch Florida and New York!

Yeah, that really sucks...I mean, it is horrible. He won me in every state except California, because I had to focus on that. He is a cheating candidate. His homestate is Illinois (Tampico) instead of being California. Big bug here.

He's beatable. 5 ads = 15 stamina points, which you have with 10 stamina. He's got loads of money too, that's the real problem. Use TV ads, and endorsements, and fly for the lucky heckler behind a ? to slow him down in California or Texas.

As with any hard AI, always get a webmaster and hope to get a movie director and plant them both in a battle ground state and just start pumping out tv ads.

I've also found that if you are playing a created candidate, modify their stats so that they are closer to the opposing candidate. For the harder opponents I've found this to be very reliable. I finally grew a brain and looked at one of the candidates stats that I was playing on Campaign that I was having trouble to no end with and modified my characters stamina and that allowed me to match him/her at least as long as doing ads, traveling, etc.
