Game Crashes Frequently

Ever since I applied the latest patch the game has been periodically choosing turns to crash on. The only way to continue is to load an older save and try to get it to be different enough to continue. It is getting very annoying and until the bug gets fixed there is no point in playing any more.
I am using the latest GalCiv: Altarian Prophecy.

Check you've got the latest video drivers for your card.....this can help stability a lot!

Strange. I know that the latest patch corrected a similar problem. What is exactly the version number given by Stardock Central?
If I understand correctly, when using Stardock Central, it show you that you have the latest patch for AP.
BTW, how have you got AP? Buying it or with totalgalming.net? If the latest, has it expired?

I'm having a similar problem. Everything's up to date. I even scrubbed the GalCiv directory and reinstalled GalCiv, just in case my old mods were causing a problem with the new version. The debugg.err file isn't telling me anything meaningful (usually you can figure out minor problems by reading this file). I'll start up Smart Exception for my next attempt and mail the crash file to Cari. I suggest you do the same, DE.
