Galactic stock exchange built twice?!

Odd as hell. My civ built the galactic stock exchange ages ago yet a minor civ built another one? What the hell gives? These minor races are far too messed up. These critters with one mere planet build things far before any major civ. This sucks big time. Completely unbalanced and messed the hell up!

The only true challenge in the game are these unbalanced minor races with one friggin' planet, the rest sit there snoring.

And these minor civs have 10-15 defenders and the major races and two or three at most. Dumb!

Oh how nice, he always wanted to have his own thread and now he has it. A dream has come true!

I had the same problem with the universal translator trade good. Another race built it after I loaded a save game.

I only did the added posts because I could not edit my original post and add to it. So I forget what all I wish to type, so sue me Jaustin, Ron, & Malleus. Is this a long enough breath, Kevin? David, the difficulty level varies from beginner to normal. And my opinion still stands, at lower levels only the minor races are "challenges", which suggests to me those races may well cheat.

LOL You answer like 4 months later, and yes, those minors are annoying to deal with. The only way I can normally build the good stuff before them is if I buy it at a rather expensive price.

On another thread was discussed a bug on earlier editions of the game where one might build two trade goods or wonders if they were due to finish on the exact same turn (so it would be a "tie" between you and the computer AI for example to get galactic stock exchange so you both get it). For those of us with 1.05 or later, this does not seem to occur. In other words, it has been fixed. You can download 1.05 today and take care of this issue.

So, what if you conquered the other civ that had that wonder/trade good? Would you have two and then get double the effects? I'd like to say that's cheese, but the odds of that happening makes it more like a fluke.

You can't get other races wonders or trade goods from conquest (At least thats what they keep saying in other threads I haven't played enough games to be sure). So this doubling wouldn't occur.

Correct. The only things you can get double or triple of is capitols.
