two things

Will Galactic Civilsations be ditrisbuted by the foreign Amazon websites?
(.co.uk and .de spcifically) don't forget the euro's !!:)

Secondly, why is this forum so...primitive? :) There are much better, more widly used forum programs ( such as Ikonboard to name one) which have more features and are easier to navigate.

Well, the first question I cannot answer, the second one I can.

Due to the immense time the devs have put into GalCiv they havent had time to do much about the forum. But an updated forum is on the way, so just hang on ;)

They are working on a new forum as far as i know, which will be much easier to naviagate.

Being from england myself i am, too, concerned with buying a game on amazon.co.uk But here is what i will do:
if on the 26th amazon.co.uk wont have GalCiv i will order it directly from stardock and dowload it immidiately. if amazon.co.uk does have GalCiv on the 26th (which will probably be on pre-oder only) i will compare the prices and see if its worth waiting for galciv here in uk (but i doubt it).

For an extra $10 they will post the boxed game + manual to the world (inc. UK). Or just pay the $45 and download the game and have the online manual open in a window behind the game window. I'm thinking about doing that.

It's being marketed in the UK - the UK version of MOO3 has a card for GalCiv in the box. So I'd be surprised if it doesn't find a UK distributor fairly soon after release. Of course, it might not get distributed straight away in the UK. We'll just have to see.

I dislike all web-forums. Usenet is a technically better solution to the the problem, and you can get a better user-interface for it, and it runs quicker for people on dial-up.

So far only Amazon US offers the game. But it's true in the UK box there is a galciv flyer. The flyer refers to www.galciv.com and mentions: Available Everywhere March 26.

Indeed it does. But then again, MOO3 was available "worldwide" last month, according to teh official website. Funny, that - it was only released over here on Friday.

Sorry for this slightly pessimistic and slightly attitude, but I'm sure you can understand why I'm reserving judgement (positive or negative) till I've played the game and seen it happen. That's all.
