Abilities on Starbases?

Galactic resources that are in sectors where you have no planets. Do you still get say the 5% bonus if you plonk a Starbase on it, or does it only count if you have a planet in the sector to get the bonus?

Starbases as I understand it only give their bonuses to planets you own in the system, or allied ships passing through.

resource bonuses are civilization wide. this is why you may end up fighting wars over them. note that you will get ~ 70% bonus from them with all the mining upgrades.

the military and social production modules ( interstellar distributor, factories, etc. ) add to the production for any planets in the sector. like a fusion plant or manu center.

Thanks. Some of them do say Military Ablities though and not the Social or Military production. Are they the same things?

The ones that say Military or what ever ability are the ones that are from the resource so are galaxy wide effects. The production ones only effect planets in the same sector.

Military resources give you increased military stats. Max hp, attack, defense.
