10000 BC and CRASHING !!!

Hi,

I've noticed I can never go beyond de 11,000 mark in money. When I go over 10,000 suddenly I have a money loss because of maintainance, or whatever, and when I hit below 10,000 I get plus numbers again, and so on.

And also, when I am about to destroy the only remaining culture with TerrorStars the game crashes.

Any suggestions??
Thanks
Mario

Hmm. Odd, I spend most games with well over 10,000. I think I recently hit 100,000 BC in one of my games. Of course I play with economics and trade bonuses, and don't build any unnecessary buildings or military ships, so I have very low maintenance. Sometimes I get monthly incomes of 1000 BC.

Mario,

Are you playing Gal Civ 1.2 or higher?

Hi,

Thank you for your input.
I am using the latest patch of GalCiv.

My maintenance is around 2000bc per month and yet I get a surplus of about 300bc per turn.

Let's say I have 10,158 bc, then suddenly (in some place, I don't know if in military or maintenance or social or research) I have a -200 to -300 bc per month.

When I get to around 9000bc I return to surplus again and start raising money to 10,000 again and so on.

Even so, that does not cover my problem with the game crashing.

I have a Celeron 2.4Ghz, 512 Mb RAM, 40Gb laptop. So the performance, I suppose, must be top notch.

When I have strategically placed my ships and TerrorStars to destroy whatever I can in just one turn and actually use them and press the TURN button to continue to the next month, the game crashes :sniff!: .

Please, please, suggestions?
This problem is making me hate GalCiv.

Thanks,
Mario
