Ships turning on the spot

I would really l like if ships would be able to turn on the spot. It's really frustrating to loose your beloved ship Pantzeekillah when you try to retreat with your capital ship only to see it first go straight into the opposition fleet, get stuck, turn some, get stuck at an asteroid, turn again then head towards the planet, turn, and get stuck on a trader ship and finally get blown away. When it could just back away or turn on the spot and retreat. Well this goes for all of the ships actually, but you don't cry when you loose a frigate.

getting stuck is funny and something you usually dont expect. In a recent game my enemy actually put his cap beside my cap and it got stuck between the planet and his cap, took like 12-15 seconds to somehow push through and it died.
