One simple request ...

yeah i love the game etc etc ...

BUT

I've noticed there is no price limit on the black market ... currently im playing a gae where the price for 100 metal is over 1400 credits and its only getting bigger :( The map is "twin gates" and i really hope the devs will either set a limit ( about 10:1 would be fair ) or take a second to look at their "official" maps. Its a large map with only 3 or 4 vulcanic planets, rest are ice/terran ... asteroids dont help much either :/

I know TEC and Advent can cope with that becouse they can research separate metal/crystal techs but vasari ( wich im playing right now ) cant balance it out with techs.I just hope there are no more un-balanced maps like this one, and the limit will be set or lowered if there is one.

Vasari are natural raiders. Colonizer cap ship can suck resources/creds from enemy planets, you get resources when you down their cap ships for wreckage....etc. They also can build orbital mater processors and have major reductions in costs of ships. Also, their tech to boost resource gathering is not so bad comparing to other factions. If you are having such issues means you are not expanding correctly.

Just make up a small task force from cap ships, start hitting them, downing their cap ships and jumping away before loosing yours... If you play against AI that works very well. Specially cycling cap ships while fighting, as in bringing in new ones while damaged ones jump back to recover in longer fights. You will have plenty of resources.

Why did you respond without readign my post ? I know how to expand ... i know how to build colonies, trade ports and matter processors. IT DOESNT HELP AT ALL when you have 10:1 ratio of metal/crystal extractors and no way of balancing it out, and the price on the black market makes it impossible to hae any chance vs tac & advent ... even they purchase resources all the time hence the abstract price of 15:1.

So you're stuck with a high metal / crystal price -- its better than not being able to use teh black market!

I'm sorry, but I just don't see where your coming from, unless its the "waaah, this is to hard make it easy" perspective.

So you want a price control on the black market? Price controls are one of the reason black markets exsist, so it really would make no sense to but a price celling in place.

Also I think it adds variety to the game to have maps that have more of X resource and less of Y resource. It just means your startgey has to adapt to the circumstances. That is one of my favorite parts of this game adapting to the situation you are presented with. If each map was basically the same just laid out different, and I could do the same thing over and over again to win, there would be no challenge after awhile.

i like to think im coming from " waaah its so imbalanced for vasari" perspective ... in a single player game it would be only frustrating, but when multiplayer comes into the picture i think we all want the game to be even/balanced right ?

Please devs either set the limit or change the map, it would've been a really good map if not for that one major flaw :NOTSURE:

How is it more imbalanced for Vasari than anyone else?
