you could also sent out 2-3 scouts and then plan what you want to do, there is pretty much going on the whole time...

I feel pretty sleepy when I stop and see that it's 1AM and that I need to be awake in a few hours to go to work after playing Sins for a bit. It has the standard "one more turn", but I guess it's just the, "five more minutes" excuse now.

The game can have some fairly long lulls if you're playing against AI and they're just fighting each other. Thankfully they're adding in-game speed changes in the next patch. Combined with modding to increase the time multipliers for "fast", that should serve our time-compression needs.

Dito. After eight to ten hours, side effects may include drowsyness, tiredness, having to sleep on the couch and getting yelled at by your prof/boss.

The past couple nights I've been a little sleepy playing the game, but that's only because it kept my up far past my bed time.

I did feel sleepy toward the end of my first full game last night. However, I suspect this had very little to do with the quality of the gameplay and quite a bit to do with the fact that I stayed up until 4 AM trying to smash the pirates.

I did it, by the way. An Akkan, 5 Kols, a Marza and a Sova with a 22-Kodiak escort to draw the defenders' attention, with 3 Krosevs and about 50 Javelises jumping in from the sun after the Corsairs were all on the wrong side of the gravity well, with supporting fire from my Novalith Cannon, with full upgrades on everything. I didn't manage to kill anywhere near all the pirates (there were still over a hundred Corsairs left after the fight) but I did manage to smash the base and get most of my fleet - including all the capital ships and 20 of the Kodiaks - to safety afterward, thus leaving the once mighty Pirate Empire broken and disorganized. It was epic.

At that point I was so tired I forgot where my factories were, so I decided to get some goddamn sleep.

Last time I crushed the pirates I took about seventy ships, including six level 10 capitals, sat at the edge of the gravwell, and wiped them out. >.>

Granted, I lost 54fp worth of frigates.
