Late but important Pre-Order Question

The pre-order FAQ stated that we would get a serial number for downloading Sins via e-mail. Since I've pre-ordered the boxed version including download via SDC I'm not sure if this is also true for me. The question is simple (I really don't know why I was to stupid to come up with it before release day): Getting a key via e-mail for download and the box with its own key would give me two keys. Does this mean that I won't get a key via e-mail but have to wait the long days (weeks, more probably) until the snail mail has found its way across the ocean?

I'm not sure how it works out but the whole idea is to allow you to play the digital download version while you wait for the box. I'm pretty sure you will be fine and a Stardock rep will be around later today to confirm.

They will email you a serial that you can use to download the game from Stardock, as long as you ordered FROM star directly. This email will come sometime between this afternoon EST and 8pm EST.

Absolutely. Stardock have managed this since the release of Galactic Civilizations 2. If my past experience is anything to go by, then you will receive your key today and the box later. That's how its gone for both the original Gal Civ 2 and Dark Avatar for me, I see no reason why they'd change that now.

Interesting question -- I honestly never opened my GalCiv 2 CE box (so its still "Mint Condition" :D ) but do the serials match?

Serials should match. Thats how they did it in the past. I think the serial is not in the box, rather it is in the recipt that comes with box. Also you can use e-mail to track serial back anytime from website so its a win win situation.
