Installation problem

Installation 'hangs'

I'm trying to reinstall Sins, but I'm having a bit of a problem. The download of the game-files (sins.xml and sins.sdc) seems to have been successful, but during the installation, the progress bar stops at 7% (Extracting: PLANETMODULE_PHASEORBITALCOMBATLABOR...).
I tried deleting both the sins.xml and .sdc files and downloading them again, but I still get the same result.

Any ideas?

You should tell us which System youve got?
If its Vista... do you run the application with administrator rights?
Or maybe not enough hard disk space left.

Otherwise give us more informations ;)

Well, I'm installing it on a disk with about 20 GB free space, so that shouldn't be a problem. I'm using XP 64 and installing with administrator rights. I was able to install the game before without any problems, but after installing the latest patch, I had a few problems, so I thought to do a complete uninstall / install to be sure I had all the correct files.

Are you installing onto your C:\ drive or if not, does your C:\ drive have enough free space (2 GB)?  SDC stores temp files onto your C: drive by default, so if it's run out, that could be the issue.

I have Stardock Central installed on my D: drive, and I'm installing the game there also and anyways, I have around 25 GB free on my C:. So that shouldn't be a problem either...
I'll try and install it on another PC this evening after work and see if that works, but meanwhile any tips are still appreciated.
