You have dared to enter the lair of the most ferocious predators in the galaxy!

It is the ulitmate destiny of the Kzinti to conquer the other civilizations of the galaxy, subjugate and enslave any who may prove useful to us, and devour the rest. The Fanged God has ordained that this is how it will be.

In just 26 octals of days (7 months or so...Kzinti count in base 8), the Kzinti Empire rose from obscurity, to #1 on the Metaverse. With the blessings of the Fanged God, we have remained dominant for 100s more octals of days since that auspicious day.  We leapt past the other empires, and our mighty domain now encompasses over 32 million more light years than the second most powerful empire.  The most recent Galactic Map data shows that we have subjugated over 45% of the galaxy.  Many warriors from the old and dying empires have joined us, to avoid being eaten along with the rest.  We hunger to establish indefinite supremacy over all the inferior sentient species...

We have also been #1 on the AltMeta for over 3 years running. The Empire grows more powerful with each passing day as new conquests are won, and more warriors join us in our inevitable rise to rule the galaxy!

The Kzinti are a species of bipedal space-faring feline predators, who love nothing more than conquest and battle. Created by sci-fi writer Larry Niven, the Kzinti have had many stories written about them, most notably in the Man-Kzin Wars series of books. They have also shown up in the Star Trek universe, and a number of other realities.

so i just got back from the doctor's office again; had to get x-rays taken because they worried I may have developed pneumonia. Thankfully, just bronchitis/sinus infection :p Should be cleared up in 2-3 days the doc says, so here's hoping.

Actually a lot of that going around. I had a garden variety flu but once it was over I had this nagging cough that hung on for another two weeks. No pneumonia, nothing bacterial, nothing to do for it other than wait for it to go away. Also not really all that bothersome other than for the concern it might be something more serious.

Good to hear SB. When you first described being sick, it sounded like you would be out of commission for weeks or months.

We crossed into second place quicker than I thought and now are poised to take the number one slot. I was unranked for the 2nd place climb and don't want that to be the case for 1st, so I'll submit something, even if it's a loss as a temporary measure.

The real game is going somewhat slow and the wife probably won't put up with my playing a game over Valentine's Day.

I'll put some points in my profile tonight one way or another.

It was quicker than I expected too. We are a bit over 400k away from 1st place now. If a few more Orcas and Hegemonians join up, that may be quick also!

Gallagher, any word from more Orcas?

I don't really know what empires are about, but thanks for the invite anyway. Even though I'm terrible at this game and can only win on Challenging by political alliance.

You're welcome sublightd. One good thing about the forums here is that you can pick up all kinds of hints and strategies with which to expand or improve the way you play the game. Other players are very helpful and are a great source of information.

Updating seems to be helping. I'm running 1.8g without as many problems. I had one game freeze and one CTD so far on a gigantic map, but that's a lot better than 1.6 could do. The game is running super smooth other than those two hiccups. Even the graphics are running smoothly. :)

As far as the points go, there are very few. I'm trying to learn some Metaverse mechanics as far as resetting the character and resubmitting games right now and I'm using Miaowara Tomokato for it. I submitted three games yesterday, one 7000 pointer, one 6000 and one 800. All were military defeats. The 7000 failed to repost. The 6000 and 800 made it through according to the metaverse screens, but only the 800 pointer is showing up.

Being Valentine's Day, I didn't have time to do too many tests or analyze the results.

The points might have to drop back to zero if my tests show what I suspect they will. I also might have to abandon my newest gigantic map 1.8g game since I've reset the character after starting the game. It's all in the name of learning, so nothing is wasted. :)

I dont have my data with me at the moment (visiting family), but I think we've had about 4 or 5 other Orcas, and around 9 Hegemonians join up, so we are doing quite well there. :)
