Continuing an ended game?

Is there any way to continue a game after you've achieved (or failed to achieve) a victory? If there is, I can't figure out how, I don't see why I wouldn't be allowed to continue a game for as long as I please.

Hmm, alright. I'm wondering if there's at least any mod that'll let me do this? Seems pretty silly to me that the devs won't let you continue a game like in Civ.

No mods that I am aware of. I would advise that you either avoid winning, or set up the victory conditions so that you can continue the game indefinitely (such as removing everything but conquest victories and then allying with everyone).
