Apple !!!

How could you

Is it just me?

I am having a hard time trying to figure out why anyone would call their daughter Apple?

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for unusual names ...BUT Apple ?

Do people stop and realise what it is to go through life with a name like that?

Like celebrity kids don't have enough problems.

I quite like it.....but I see your point, lets make the jkid stand out just a little bit more! Ooooh we have to be different because we're celebrities, grrr! I think Brooklyn is worse though, hmm.

I just wonder if we will now end up with a generation of fruit salad.

As everyone follows suit and we have little bananas and oranges etc running around.

Sure apple is cute ..as a nick-name maybe.

Hopefully the other fruits won't catch on...could you imagine....
Hey Banana get over here.
Pineapple, don't touch that.
Aw...your Grape is so cute.
Have you seen Orange around...he's been gone for awhile?

What is the world coming to? It's going to hell in a fruit basket....lol

The strangest thing is she's actually named after Chris Martin's booking agent's daughter who's also called Apple. (Apple Diamond)

I think Paula Yates still takes the cake for weird names.

Peaches
Pixie
Fifi-Trixibelle
and Heavenly Hirani Tigerlily

although Demi Moore Rumour, Scout and Tallulahbelle (sp) comes close

Yea I agree about Paula Yates.

I still haven't decided if Fifi-Trixibelle sounds like a french maid or a brothel madam.

I new a girl called Mango when I was around 12 ...the product of hippy parents.

She hated her name and was so embarrassed.

When we were away from her parents she would get everyone to call her Alison. ( a name she chose because it was " normal " )

You know I was actually just talking to Gwyneth the other day... she picked apple out of a few names she had tossed me when I brought out the name game with her....

She said Grape.... I said... little balls

She said banana... I said... dildo

She said Orange... I said.... Mellow Yellow

She said Apricot... I said... not I just have and iflatable matress that loses air through out the night

Great article baby, short... but sweet, sorta like you.

It's not so bad... Apple is kinda cool actually.  There are a lot of worse names out there...

plus, it's not like the kids of celebrities are going to public school, they go to private schools with a bunch of other kids with whacky names

Oh, it's true about names. I tried to stop using the name Candy for years. The final straw was a DJ that had a field day with the fact I was Candy on Cherry Street!
Have you seen that movie where the girl has her baby in a Walmart and her friend's babies are called some kind of snack, like Twinkie or something?

Where the Heart is - Brownie, Praline, Cherry and Baby Ruth. - (one of my favourite books by Billie Letts and one of the few book to movie scripts that's not totally butchered) there are other odd names in that the walmart baby's name is Americus Nation her mother is Novalee and her mother's boyfriend is Forney.

Actually I think Americus is kinda call but I wouldn't call my daughter Australis (particularly as its a cosmetics brand) if she was born in Big W.
