custom race flagging metaverse

What files need deleting to reset the races to avoid flags for metaverse?

No matter what I do in the set up clearing the AI's, it gets flagged as illegal for the metaverse. I cant seem to fix it.

Delete the .customracexml files from My Documents\My Games\GC2DarkAvatar.

Kryo,

If I create my custom races (to play against in game) why are the custom races getting flagged in the first place?

I did not edit the XML file at all or toggle the personality which is what I thought could have messed with the custom races (flagging metaverse). It doesnt make sense and I made the custom races to be tough not easy or dumbed down. I would like to add as many custom races as possible for a large array of enemies.

Did you create them in a prior patch? Also, are you just getting the warning at the beginning of the game? I don't see any cheat flags on your metaverse record.

Yea they are at the beginning of the game. I restarted and deleted the race just to be sure. I am playing a Stardock certified mod (The High Reso. Planet Textures) the only other mod I added was a weapons effects and weapon sounds. No other modifications have been made and the custom races were remade each time they were randomly added as an enemy and flagged at the beginning of the game. I will try and go back to the default game and try again to be sure.

Earlier I manually deleted the custom race from the file folder containing the customracexml. Is there another file that points to the file I deleted and when I remade the race in game it is now having conflicts? Just throwing some ideas out there.

Certified or no, you can't use mods when playing metaverse games if they modify any of the xml files in any way (Logic's mod does). That 'sticker' on mods in the library just means we think it's particularly neat.

Ok

Well I went back to default again and it still flagged for some reason. I think I will just do away with Mods altogether and reinstall. Hopefully that will get rid of the problem.

Thanks Kyro.
