Move Attack

I don't remember seeing this in another post but something that is annoying me is that when you give a move order to your ship, they just stop firing at other ships even if they seem to have directional turrets. What I would like is some sort of Warcraft move-attack. If you tell your ship to move-attack then whatever ennemy they encounter they will stop/slow and fire at it.

I would like that my ships at least defend themself when moving around. Maybe put some stances on ships (sort of where you channel the energy of ship), like travel stance that would greatly improve travel between planets or in planet range. In travel stance, they travel faster but can't attack (and that would fit some other posts complaining . And an attack stance where they are slower but can fire away (even while moving around ).

This should have been fixed in the Version 0.76.018 - July 12, 2007 patch. If you are already up to this version we'll have to take a look at other possible causes. Thanks for the report

I double checked and there is no available update in SD Central, so I suppose I have the latest version.

I re-tried it last night and when I move my ships from one planet to another one, when they enter it its ok, they start firing at everything. The frigates move toward the ennemy ships which is fine but if I command them to move to somewhere else, the green arrow shows they are moving, then they just stop fring even if they are in range of the other frigates. And of course the other frigates are still firing on mine while I move to reorganize my ships.

And when I command my ships to Attack by pressing 'A' key then click on another planet, I tought they would move there and if they encounter resistance just eliminate them then continue their trip to where I command them to go.

If you just give a new order without specifically queueing it, it'll replace whatever order they had before.

What I mean is that all ships just seem to be OR moving OR firing.

I need to try queueing Attack this ship THEN Move here, but what I think this will do is : The ship will finish the ship its attacking then will move (and get fired without firing back) to the destination I fixed. Then when it stop it will start auto-combat again.

If you tell me that Queueing Attack and move does what I want fine, else I think this should be fixed IMO.

Thanks

What you are describing you want is how the game should be. For whatever reason, it seems to be bugged in your version. Thus far, we've been unable to recreate it but we'll continue to investigate. Hopefully we'll track it down in time to include in the new patch.
