Hi all and welcome to the Tyranny of Evil. The Tyranny of Evil is a dedicated Metaverse empire that has risen to prominence in just 1 year. 2nd place on the AltMeta and a soon to be 3rd place in the MV is no small feat from an empire with ~39 active players.

Dedicated to the pursuit of evil, we encourage all players, new or veterans, to join us in our quest to be the strongest, most active and long lived empire in the Metaverse.

Ok change of plans. Looks like Ultimate edition isn't supported by stardock yet so i'm going to have to wait till after the holidays to get registration all done and characters up. sorry guys, false alarm. I'll just use this time to get a custom race up and practice a few games in offline play.

haha, nah, we've gone through rest periods before... right now our Emperor is off...hmmm...yknow he wouldn't say, I thought he mumbled something about a top secret mission to Kzin Home, and something bout a catnip bomb, but then I had been drinking some Torian Ale pretty heavily, so I can't really say for sure

It's not so-much the thread, but the boards themselves.  The game isn't riding as high as it was, no new content is sceduled for it... Things are just stagnating now.

I just had a nice 10 day vacation....and never even booted up galciv.  I mainly was playing Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 or MoO 1, if I was even on my PC.

actually last night was the first time i booted up GalCiv in about two months; there had been something on these boards (i think it was the "When IS it time to go to war" thread, and it piqued my interest in the game again. Of course...im just in the ship designer right nwo :-)

From my past experiences, there are only 2 ways to drink Torian Ale:

I still come by almost daily but there is little about GalCiv to speak on anymore, so most of the boards seems to be going to Impulse or random BS. I am glad to see a few newer players popping up asking questions, somewhat making it look like the GC2 forum again. Even if some of the questions are ones that had been answered in the past. Can't fault the peeps though with the search being Fubared, but I just can't always get up the gumption to repeat the same answers I've given in the past.

I have played some GC2 lately , but just messing around mainly. Been caught up on Farcry2 and just played through COD4 that a friend sent me for Christmas.

Not sure if I'll get up the patience anytime soon to run a fullon high scoring meta game, but I still have fun with it just playing scenarios and custom maps :) .

The MV empire rankings have not updated for more than a week now, starting with when they had that server problem.  I made a post about it, but havent had a response from any SD people.  I dont know if or when they intend to fix it.  Maybe it's just the holidays, or maybe they arent going to.  It would be nice to know either way though.

It's a plot by Kzinti operatives to ensure the ToE can't catch them ;)

There is still a significant amount of people playing the meta I believe so I would think they'd fix it.

Yeah the MV is still active, and I know there are games submitted to my empire very day.  I hope they do fix it.

who said it's not our plot to suddenly overtake the kzin when the servers are finally fixed? }:)

i haven't played GC2 in a while. i've barely played any games at all in the last month. i've mainly been watching shows and getting ready to move. but i still check the 'my replies' page daily.
