Custom Music

Pretty simple question, is there a way to have custom MP3s playing instead of the normal space music(s)?

Short of having another program running in the background rather. Sorry, meant to put that in the main post.

Yes you can replace the main theme song that plays during gameplay. I have used theme songs ranging from Video games to star trek ...but for some reason I always go back to the one shipped with the game it really doesn't annoy me even after along time of listening to it .

Simply replace (make backups first, of course) the existing music in the music and Event Music folders.

I figured as much, but didn't want to muck with them until I knew for sure.

Thanks!

Kryo, by changing these files i expect you mean rename your mp3's as the same as the game music. Also will this trip the cheat flag in the MV, i assume not if they are named the same.

Thanks.

Yes. The metaverse doesn't care about changes to non-xml files, so you'll be fine.

so let me get this right, you can only have as many songs/mp3 files as there already is? (as you have to rename them to the originals)??

Pretty rubbish if you ask me, as I want a full playlist, not a couple of tunes

Then just use an external media player and turn off music in the game.

(i think) it's not a playlist. It plays the different tunes at different times... obviously... viz. War 1, Race 7, Theme, blah blah.

It's not that hard, guys. If you're worried about wasting processor on a music program, download VU Player which takes next to nothing to run in the background and you're set.

Trust me, if my ancient laptop can handle it, your rig can too. :CONGRAT:
