Another expansion?

I know that DA was just released, but I was wondering if there was another expansion planned on down the line? I really like the game and would love to see even more added to it at some point. I've heard a lot of speculation, but nothing concrete from devs on whether this is the end of Gal Civ II as far as major expansions go, or if more were planned.

The biggest thing I can think of, Expansion wise, would be Multiplayer. That's a dead horse topic though, so moving on -

Following behind that is more AI - perhaps one that can calculate diplomatic trades (of more than tech) based on the circumstances of the game - IE not giving you a house and home for a useless tech (like it used to do for colonization after all the extreme planets of that type were gone).

Are you serious? There's gonna be 1 more expansion besides Dark Avatar?

I can't wait for another expansion to be honest and I hope the developers do not give up on GalCiv2.

The devs won't leave Galciv2 for a long time yet. Their devotion to perfecting a game rather than making a cheap product and moving on as so many others do is something that deseves a big pat on the back!

I heard stardock's moving onto a fantasy strategy game where it implements both turn-base and real-time. Won't it be like Medival War 2? If it's graphics heeavy then I guess I'll have to miss it cause my laptop's only on an ATI x300 graphics card

I do hope stardock continues to improve GalCiv 2, either with another expansion or GalCiv 3. Keep the graphics beautiful yet simple so all laptop users can run it

I hope you read this thread frogboy..

From what I've heard the new fantasy TBS that they're developing is going to have a graphics engine with sweet graphics but it will also be extremely optimised. Actually if you look in the update for 1.6 you will see that one of the new features that they did was to use this new graphics engine in galciv2 dark avatar so if your laptop can run that now I would think that you would be able to run the new fantasy TBS.

Just look at the feature list for 1.6 https://www.galciv2.com/Journals.aspx the first bullet point is the new graphics engine that radically increases performance.
