Please install and run SmartException from the free stuff tab in Stardock Central so that if the beta crashes, it will generate a report that you can send to me with your debug.err files and save games.

Please update the non-expansion part of Gal Civ if you haven't, but please note that your save games will be messed up because of the additional improvements.

I will want any save games that reproduce bugs, particularly crashes.  Save games in Altarian prophecy are only one file, no folders.

Please report typos in the typo thread.  String Not Found bugs are not typos.

Please give as much detail as possible when reporting bugs so that I can reproduce it more easily.

When are you going to fix the scenario editor? im not a happy camper, i havent had one release of AP that i could really get into on win98SE since i subscribed to Drengin, check my installs, im not intrested in the other bits on there, i only got it to say thanks for GC and sorry you got a bum deal from the publishers, this is the thanks i get :D

I am still getting minors building trade goods. Have not found any with wonders though. I don't have saves, sorry. I will try to get one next time I see one. Also, it wasn't just one. It was two minors building two trade goods, I believe.

I can't use the map editor. I can only see about 4 squares in any direction, can't find the zoom, and see any scroll bars.

Using the Middle scroll button on my mouse for zooming in and out. To move map, hold mouse button down and move mouse.

98 is not a gaming OS, it's hosed for most games. Upgrade to XP.

Are you sure about that? I felt it to be the other way 'round. I've found many games choke on Windows XP and do fine on Windows98. Now if you're talking stability, that's quite a different issue. XP is by far the better operating system.

Microsoft says that XP-home addition is made for gaming, but XP-Professional is not. I use XP-Professional and never had a problem.

a lot.. not all Dos based games will choke/not work on winXP

win98 is still dos based.. so dosbased games should still work.. Also win98 doesn't have the same memory load (except for resources) so window games will run quicker with less physical memory (because not as much virtual memory is needed

with lots of memory and a decent processor most window based games will work better

Hold down the RIGHT mouse button to scroll around. It's kind of gimpy, but it works. ;)

The OS req' for GalCiv is windows 98/ME/2000/XP. Seeing as you know jack about operating systems ill wait for a proper response from someone who knows what they are on about ;)

This was an issue for me, but not anymore. Newer laptops now carry scroll buttons. In my case, it carrys an 8 directional combo gamepad/scrollpad which nealy fits between buttons below the touchpad.

Just played a game where I saw an AutoServey bug

It occurs when the only anomolies are in AI influence (not your colour or blank)

I could still collect them manually ok..

Windows ME (I know the bad guy of the block) works fine for me with the Game, the only thing is that in Gigantic games takes almost a minute between turns. Very slow, but I think that is my graphic card ATI?

Technician, next time you get that string not found, please check your debug.err file for me so that you can give me the error it prints out.
