I hate being on call

As I sit here in the hospital, answering moronic pages about stupid things, my wife is home, sick herself, taking care of a 4 year old and an almost 2 year old who are both puking.

Thank goodness for parents who just happened to be out here visiting.

Sometimes this whole call thing really sucks.

Boy do I hear ya! Right now I sit with a cell phone on my belt 'cause I'm on call 24/7 ALL THE TIME. fortunatly most of the calls I get can be resolved over the phone but it's still a big pain. Of course the money makes it kinda worth it but I still like to whine...

Most of the calls I get are the same, which is when it really sucks that I have to physically be here.  But that will end in a few years.

Sometimes it just feels good to whine.  Albeit in short, controlled bursts.  Unfortunately, there is no monetary compensation to call.  Just part of the job.  But hey, most days I think I have the best job in the world, so I'll stop complaining.
