So I'm in Atlanta for the weekend on a business trip. A good significant part of it looks like it's gonna be kinda boring.
I'm in my hotel room, browsing the net, and what do I find?
Dark Avatar has been released? OMG!
Well, thanks to Stardocks NO COPYRIGHT PROTECTION, and WONDERFUL DOWNLOADABLE SERVICE, 10 minutes later, I've purchased Dark Avatar, and I've installed Stardock Central onto my company laptop, and am happily downloading Galciv2 and the Dark Avatar expansion.
Well, I didn't bring any GalCiv2 CDs with me. I didn't bring any GalCiv2 CD-Keys with me. If this was a NORMAL game, I'd be out of luck. I'd have to wait until I got home, got out to the store, and buy a copy.
Aside from the download wait, I couldn't be happier.
Kudos to all your successes, Stardock. I hope other companies follow your example.
