Good news. Galciv 2 came in at a good 6th place showing in Gamespy's top ten PC games, winning the TBS award too! Space Rangers 2 also did extremely well, taking the 4th place.

i was discussing this word with a friend of mine the other day. does anyone use this word in speech, or is it only net jargon? is it a local idiom of... somewhere?

and yes, props to you for your great achievements. i honestly believe you're giving the gaming industry pause for thought.

Even though we don't see each other that often (we go to college in differant states), when we are around each other my brother and I sometimes use it in speech.

I only use it in a mocking fashion really.

That said, 6th best game of the year, in a genre that isn't that mainstream, is a good accomplishment.

Proves that good word-of-mouth can get you somewhere. Just hoping you keep that spirit as you become bigger.

I bought the game about a month ago. So far, I love it. It's better that Master of Orion 2 and anything else in the 4x genre. I can well understand how Gamespy has given it an award; the game is amazing. Anyway, I'm off to buy a copy for one of my brothers for christmas.

Well deserved, as GCII should be the new measuring stick of what 4x space games strive to be. Hundreds of hours invested and still playing daily, now thats Bang for your Buck!
