Are my planet graphic ideas stupid or just played out?

I haven't gotten any responses from my earlier posts about improving planet graphics. The ideas are in the previous post. So, I was just wondering if these ideas have already bee thoroughly discussed and I missed the posts or if they are uninteresting to people.

Think it's probably just a matter of other things being higher priority, than what most would consider graphical "fluff". I admit it would be cool, but don't see the devs taking time out to do something like that.

The thing i want improved is the graphics in the space battles i mean when its over a planet and you see the cities they just look like blobs of light... its very ugly looking.
