How are mods Installed?

Once mods are created, how do I install the mods? Please be as specific as possible.

It varies from mod to mod, and depends if they use the game's mnod support or modify the core files directly.

If it is designed to be used in the mods folder, it *should* be as simple as unzipping it to C:\Program Files\Stardock\Totalgaming\GalCiv2\Mods and selecting that folder to use in the game's options. But the specifics can vary widely from mod to mod, so there is really no way to give more detail without knowing which mod you're talking about (and at that, the mod should have a readme telling you what to do).
