Could you please open and post the contents of your debug.err file. You should find it at this location, unless you installed the game in different location.

C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2

It'll provide us with some insight in what might be wrong.

Check the System Requirements; and then check your own specs compare and contrast; its probably the video card though; the vid card needs drivers from this year or last [2005/2006] I think

More than likely it is your system and not the game. Give more specifics.

As Cdr. Futility mentions above, try updating your graphics drivers.

my graphics driver is not the prob. Ill asy my dad if I can get a better vid card and see.

What video card do you currently have ? Would be wise to post that here first to see if its ok before rushing out and buying another when that may not be the problem, he's not going to be a happy bunny shelling out on a new card then you still have the same problem .......

The right froum would be the bug report but who's counting.

You need the debug.err file on here, but from what I can see you need a better graphic's card.

It would help if you posted the rest of the debug, including the information about your video card and drivers.

Yes, you need a new video card to see the textures.

See here for a list of cards and which category they fall under. One with DirectX 9 support or better is strongly recommended for the best experience and performance. If budget is the prime concern, a Radeon 9500 or 9600 can be easily found online for around $50.

Well I can live with it. anyway I made a custom hull and made a ship called the dominator, and it has over 300 attack!
