Need Help

I was playing around with the game options on my office computer and set the display setting too high for my monitor. Now when I try to start the game my screen goes black. How can I change the screen resolution back to what I had previously?

AFAIK if you delete your prefs.ini file you'll get back to default. This should be in your GalCiv2 directory where you installed the game. I'd suggest you to just try renaming it to something else first just in case I'm wrong though.

BTW. No need to mention the office computer. There's no one here that would ever misuse office resources by installing the game at work or posting to these forums from our work computer.

prefs.ini is found in My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2, not the installation folder.

hehe unless you own the copmany computers, then what ya gonna do.. fire yourself for playing games on company time? lol
