The voting is going to go on from now till the end of March. We'd have to not do any of the articles and there are already articles on the other sites done. I am trying to do an article on Kaleidoscope (Mac skinning program) but haven't gotten very much help. :(

It's not an art site, it's an "art" site. It's more like a big club where people can exchange and steal ideas. Interesting to see how it has drifted from its inital "deviating desktop" state to where it is now. The big secret by the way is that it is completely selfcontained. DevArt is all you need so to speak.

I'm thrilled to be a part of something so provocative. To be brutally honest with you, deviantART has changed the way I look at life, for the better.

I don't want to dwell on the immaturity (yes, I said it, IMMATURITY) and negativity of Jier's comment, but he couldn't have contradcited himself more. "I may visit DA every now and then..but not because i like the site...or the people who run it..but because it has the things i want to upload, and on occasion i feel like uploading something." Now I've heard it all. I'd like to thank Brad for conducting this interview for GUI Olympics and for displaying it: It means a lot. Really. To those who can't appreciate the success and commitment of sites like deviantART, I say "bLurp!"

I think most people would agree that it is other sites that need to steal from deviantART, not the other way around. I'm not affiliated with deviantART in any way other than being friends with the guys over there. But let's be real, when it comes to innovation in creating virtual communities, deviantART is certainly a leader. The article here only scratches the surface of what it's possible for users to do on dA. And even then, I'm just describing these features, to experience them is quite another. And it's not just big things like thumbnails or journals, it's little things like having your user account be
